Maybe he was right, but I am sure no one would like to take the chance with his family. Another possibility is saving the planet by doing like China use to do and allowing families to have only one child.
We can not keep our living standards that high without any change either in our consumption or in the global population. Maybe another possibility china’s only child policy. That will allow decreasing the population without mass murder.
Thanos has just highlighted Malthus's theory. Malthus thinks that the population grows faster than economy . Indeed consequences could result in a lack of food for population specially for poorest people. Overpopulation has also a bad effect on employment rate. Malthus adds that overpopulation can cause bad diseases because it allows to create a good environement for diseases' development. For instance the COVID-19 might be a good indicator of Malthus's theory. The spread of the virus was fast and undercontroled. Hospitals were overflowed and lockdowns are mandatory because we don't have enought doctors to treat people. However, some scholars think that the solution is not to limit the number of people in the world but that it's to create new technology.
