There has been an eternal debate going on as to whether pregnant women shall be entitled to abort their upcoming child yet to be born.
Many categorise aborting as criminal, in the extent that it erases a human being‘s life, whereas, on the other hand, many would condone the practice, if exerted with legitimate reasons from the pregnant mother.
I agree with @Henri i would also add that abortion usually happens before that embryo develops a conscience. With that being said, you are “killing” a live element in the same fashion you are terminating a flower’s life or a fruit. Does that make you a murderer ? Just my take.
It's a major question ! Depends on where you're standing (obviously). I would say that it's the pregnant mother's call. It's her body and she is legitimate to decide. If abused or raped, she got to choose wether she wants to keep or not - it's a matter of privacy and the state should not legislate against it.
Secondly, would you give birth to a child who would, arithmetically, have an awful childhood and life ? If you're unable to provide for him, why would you bring a being to life and offer him nothing but poverty and misery ? The people who protest against abortion (Pro-Life) aren't the ones who take care of the kid after he's born.
Being able to abort was "earned" after long fights - it's a fundamental right and no one should take it back.
